Meeting Human Needs
Human needs have changed over time, impacting the size and movements of population. In this lesson, students use the Timeline to research historical events and determine which events they deem to be most important in meeting human needs. They then create their own chronological timelines highlighting seven influential milestones and defend their choices. Inventions, discoveries and events related to food production, water and energy use, human settlements and migration are topics for exploration.
